<Anchor> The

second part of the 8 o'clock news will open with'S Pick', a corner where we choose one of the issues that people are interested in and look into in-depth.

Today (21st), we will talk about the coming Chuseok story as mentioned earlier.

The quarantine authorities also said today that if a large number of people move during the Chuseok holiday, the virus could spread across the country again.

Despite this request, there are families who have decided to gather because it is Chuseok, and some are still contemplating what to do.

We asked what people think this year when we have to worry about corona even on the big holiday of Chuseok.

Reporter Shin Seung-yi and Choi Jae-young report the results in turn.

<Reporter Shin Seung-i>

Every year, a family of 8 siblings from their 50s to 80s gathered on a

national

holiday.

There was a debate over whether to meet or not before Chuseok this year.

The big brother readily agreed with the youngest's suggestion to skip because of the corona, but the small brother disagreed with "what are you talking about," while the older sisters "let's meet" and "let's stay at home".

[Housewife in her 50s: It's a house that has never had a quarrel or not, but it seems like they are quarreling over this,'Gathering or not meeting?'

I was very upset.]

How are you guys.

When I did a poll, there were far more people who said they would not go to their hometown during Chuseok this year than those who said they would.

59.4% said "I will not go" to their hometown, and 17.1% said "I will go".

Responses saying "I haven't decided yet" accounted for a quarter of the total.

In particular, it was found that nearly half of those who returned home during Chuseok changed their minds when they did not go this year.

The reason was that there were overwhelming worries about the corona risk rather than work problems or financial difficulties.

[Tae-Jun Jin/Mapo-gu, Seoul: I am not suspicious of my family, but they live outside and get together.

At times like this, just not gathering... because there are some things that are more cautious]

Even if you don't go home, if the crowds crowd at the resort, it would be a quarantine effort and waste.

However, there are reports that reservations for major travel destinations are full, and 16.5% of respondents said they are planning a light outing and domestic travel.

There are a number of villages with a banner saying not to return home this Chuseok.

So is this town.

[Kim Doo-bok/Goesan-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do: Nearly 60% of the elderly are the elderly when even one confirmed person enters our village. If the weakest people get caught, the entire neighborhood will suffer damage]

But despite the corona, those who will go to their hometown There is also.

So, when I asked the reason, there were a lot of answers saying, “I want to stay with my family and relatives,” but some of the things I don’t want to see are because of my parents or because I just noticed.

[My brother can't come either...

We're close, so you should come and talk about it again. I have no choice but to go.]

[You may think that there is no habit, or you may think,'Why are you not coming because of corona even though you are not an adult?'] The

government at all 83% of respondents said that it is necessary to restrict movement to some extent during Chuseok.

That means that concerns about the spread of Corona 19 are greater than ever.

The first Chuseok of the Corona era, which we have never experienced before, is now approaching ten days ahead.

I think we need to think about how to protect our family and neighbors from the corona without losing our family's affection.

This survey was conducted for 1,004 adult men and women across the country for three days from the 14th, and the margin of error at the 95% confidence level is ±3.1%p.
