In 2017, Apple announced the arrival of AirPower, a wireless charging pad for iPhones.

The accessory was ultimately never marketed because it did not meet company standards.

But the project was not dead so far.

Indeed, a video showing a prototype of a wireless charger for iPhones has been circulating for a few days, reports the specialized media

.

The accessory visible in the video has a magnet, which apparently attaches to the back of Apple smartphones.

Video claims to show Apple magnetic wireless charger prototype.

An adapter on future iPhones

The presence of this magnet comforts the specialists of the apple brand.

In August, rumors had indeed circulated about the presence of circular magnets on the back of future iPhone 12. A device that would therefore allow the AirPower to be hung on the back of the smartphone to recharge it.

If it is an accessory for the next iPhone, this wire charger could therefore be presented to the public at the same time as the future models of the smartphone.

No date has yet been communicated by Apple.

During its last keynote on September 15, Apple has however already unveiled new Apple Watch as well as two new iPads.
