is the fund management headquarters of the National Pension Service.

In one year alone, over 750 trillion won is being managed for the people's retirement funds.

It has been confirmed that four employees in charge of alternative investments are being investigated by the police for smoking cannabis.

One of them was found to have distributed cannabis purchased through the Internet several times over the past four months since February.

The National Pension Service, which first learned of this fact, dismissed all four people on the 9th after going through its own investigation.

[National Pension Service officials: As soon as the Corporation became aware of the fact, it excluded them from work, and charged and dismissed them from the judicial authorities.

We will continue to respond strictly under the principle of zero tolerance.]

Some of the four were confirmed to have tested positive for urine, but the police are waiting for the results of an additional hair test.

In the meantime, there have been a number of deviations from employees of the National Pension Fund Management Division.

Three retired employees three years ago were subject to severe discipline for storing confidential fund management information on personal computers and external hard drives.

In addition, over the past five years, 114 people went abroad for training by receiving 800 million won, including airfare, from overseas consignment management companies.

The voices of criticism are growing as the people who manage hundreds of trillion won of old money have been deviated.
