The number of victims supported by the'Special Act for Humidifier Disinfectant Damage Relief' increased to 2,988 (excluding overlapping support by disease and field) as 16 additional people were recognized for damage to humidifier disinfectants.



The Ministry of Environment and the Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute announced that they had held the '22nd Relief Account Operation Committee' on the 18th and selected additional recipients of relief payments and emergency medical support.



Agendas such as relief benefit adjustments and damage rating results were also deliberated and resolved.



At this conference, 8 people with stage 3 lung disease, 2 people with pneumonia, and 2 people with interstitial lung disease were selected as eligible recipients of relief benefits.



Of these, 10 are sperm attributable to other diseases, and 2 are new.



The amount of assistance is the same level as the relief benefits paid to victims of government relief.



At this meeting, urgent medical support was also decided for 9 people who are in urgent need of medical and financial support.



They receive medical care benefits that are equivalent to their own medical expenses.



The committee plans to provide salaries equivalent to relief benefits to 5 victims of unknown or incapacitated (without economic capacity) the cause of the humidifier disinfectant damage relief committee.



In addition, the payment of funeral expenses and relief payment adjustments was decided for 10 people who died due to health damage of humidifier disinfectant among the existing approved persons.



We also deliberated and judged the damage grade for those who were victims of interstitial lung disease in children and adults, and made a decision so that 178 people could receive a nursing care allowance.



There are a total of 2,255 (excluding duplicates) who are eligible for the Special Relief Account to date, including the 16 new targets resolved at today's meeting.



Including 983 people who receive relief benefits, the number of victims who receive assistance under the'Special Act for Relief of Humidifier Disinfectants' has increased to 2,988 (excluding duplicates).
