In June, an empty train moving from Sanggye Station to the vehicle base hit the back of another train carrying more than 80 people.

It was so shocking that the carriage was crushed and the three trains crashed derailed.

As a result of the three-month Seoul city audit, the circumstances of the negligence of the train engineer who ran into the back were revealed one after another.

There are two main causes of accidents identified.

The train stopped before approaching Sanggye Station and showed an abnormal phenomenon of switching to automatic operation mode, but the engineer continued to operate without notifying the control center.

In addition, it was investigated that they did not look ahead properly until just before they hit it.

He even covered the driver's front window with a sunshade, but it was confirmed that he said it was because he didn't want to see other engineer co-workers coming from the opposite lane.

In the absurd behavior there was an internal conflict.

Seoul Transportation Corporation has two labor unions, and this engineer, a minority union executive, has been bullied by union members belonging to many unions.

[Seoul Transportation Corporation's minority unions: (Many unions) They said they would not participate in the strike. There are only 300 people in all positions, our members. It's only 10%. They bully them collectively. Bullying.] The

city of Seoul instructed the engineer not to lower the awning while driving, and to refrain from using cell phones and electronic devices that are not related to driving duties.
