The leaked database of the Chinese company Zhenhua contains more than seven hundred Dutch people, the

Tuesday evening.

This includes (former) politicians and their families, writes the broadcaster, which has inspected the dataset.

The existence and some of the content of the list was leaked to international media on Monday.

It showed that there are a total of 2.4 million people in the database.

The information would have been collected from public sources, such as social media.

reports that MPs Sjoerd Sjoerdsma (D66), Henk Nijboer (PvdA) and Henk Otten (Party-Otten), among others, are on the list.

Children of Minister Sigrid Kaag (D66), Member of Parliament Pieter Omtzigt (CDA) and former ministers Gerrit Zalm, Jan Pronk and Melanie Schultz also come up.

Prince Constantijn and a daughter of TV presenter Harry Mens are

also mentioned

In addition, a sister of Lodewijk Asscher (PvdA), the wife and daughter of André Rouvoet (now chairman of the GGD umbrella organization GGD GHOR), the brother of the Arnhem mayor Ahmed Marcouch and family members of Mariëtte Hamer, chairman of the Social and Economic Council (SER) in the database.

that the list contains "a wide range of (former) Dutch MEPs, deputies and mayors" and "several prominent religious persons and various top figures from the Dutch defense system".

It is unclear how Zhenhua selects exactly which people will be on the list.

Since Monday, rumors have been circulating that the database is of interest to Chinese intelligence services.
