A medium sentence was sentenced to a 30-year-old who sexually abused, assaulted or threatened his girlfriend, including prostitution in his own home.

The 2nd Criminal Division of the Jeju District Law (presiding judge Chan-soo Jang) announced on the 15th that he sentenced A (33), who was handed over to trial for violation of the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes, assault, and threats, to 16 years in prison.

In addition, it was ordered to restrict employment for children and adolescents-related organizations for 10 years and to attach electronic location tracking devices (electronic anklets) for 15 years.

On March 26, Mr. A threatened his girlfriend B in an apartment in Geonip-dong, Jeju-si, to engage in sex trafficking, photographed B's body part, and said, “If someone asks for help or runs away, a video I will spray it," he threatened.

On April 10, when Mr. B asked for separation, Mr. A sent a video of the victim's body and threatened him.

Mr. A was punished for sexual crimes several times in the past and wore an electronic anklet.

The judge explained the reason for the sentence, saying, "The crime is very bad and the victim is petitioning for severe punishment."
