I told you a while ago that a series of typhoons caused great damage to Ulleungdo, but there are many wounded places on Dokdo, our land.

As the only facility that can ship on the island is severely broken, it will be difficult to enter Dokdo by the end of this year if it is late.

This is TBC reporter Park Young-hoon.

Dongdo Pier, the only docking facility on Dokdo.

The wharf railings were badly broken and the cement floors of the docks were scattered throughout.

In the wake of the successive typhoons, the pier, which served as the entrance to the island, was broken.

[Seo Boseong/Ulleung-gun Dokdo Management Director: When visitors get off, the top plate structure and the side of the passage where the guards come down are damaged, and a lot of concrete debris can be seen... .] As the

pier facilities were broken, the risk of safety accidents for inbound passengers was high, so the berth of the passenger ship was completely controlled.

Even if you visit Dokdo, you cannot get off to Dokdo for the time being.

[Passenger ship carrier officials: We are thinking about whether or not to operate because the number of passengers has decreased. Dokdo reservation cancellation rate is about 50 to 60%.]

In addition, Dokdo residents' accommodation, a four-story building in Seodo, suffers more damage.

The entire ground floor was submerged, and the generator, desalination facility plumbing, and crane were damaged.

Accordingly, the residence of Dokdo safety management personnel and Dokdo resident Kim Shin-yeol will be restricted.

All materials and equipment have to be transferred to the ship, and there are many days when the ship cannot be operated due to high waves, so it is impossible to predict when the restoration work will be completed.
