During the last general election, Yoo Sang-bong, who was accused of illegally intervening in the elections in the district where independent lawmaker Yoon Sang-hyun was running, was arrested.
On the night of the 13th, the Incheon District Court issued a warrant saying that there was a fear of fleeing after proceeding with a warrant for Mr. Yoo.
Yoo is accused of suing rival candidate Ahn Sang-soo for false facts in order to win congressman Yoon, who ran for Michuhol in Dong-gu, Incheon in the last general election.
At the time, Mr. Yoo filed a complaint with the prosecution, claiming that when Ahn served as the mayor of Incheon, he received billions of won in exchange for interests at the construction site.
Yoo replied, "Of course we discussed and met four times," when asked by the reporters whether it was correct to discuss the election intervention with Rep. Yoon directly, and said she was sorry to Rep. Ahn.
