Spotify: soon a karaoke mode -

The Swedish music streaming service is reportedly about to launch a new feature for its users.

A feature designed for entertainment since it is a karaoke mode.

It was application code researcher Jane Manchun Wong who pinpointed this novelty and shared it on Twitter.

The feature will obviously allow users to sing their favorite hits with the music in the background and the lyrics displayed on the screen of their smartphone or other.

They will be able to adjust the level of the voice of the songs, in order to have a more or less strong cue to push the song.

An entertainment-oriented mode that should certainly amuse Spotify subscribers.

New for free users

But this is not the only find of Jane Manchun Wong.

The researcher also spotted an offline listening mode for free users of the app.

They will be able to listen to their favorite songs for 30 minutes without interruption and without being connected to the Internet.

A feature that is currently only reserved for premium subscribers.

If Spotify is testing new features, we do not yet know if they will indeed be deployed one day.

As to when they will be launched, again we are in the dark.

The least we can say is that the novelties discovered by the researcher are rather exciting.

Enough to allow Spotify to retain its leadership status for some time.
