Yesterday (11th), the number of new corona19 confirmed patients a day has maintained 100 units for the 10th day, and is seldom falling below 100.

The government will soon decide whether or not to extend the 2.5 steps to distance the metropolitan area scheduled for tomorrow.

This is Park Chan-beom reporter.

<Reporter> The number of

new corona 19 confirmed cases was added yesterday by 136 people a day, 40 people less than the previous day, but the number of new corona19 confirmed patients has remained at 100 for the 10th day.

Among the new confirmed cases, domestic outbreaks accounted for the majority with 118, and foreign inflows were tentatively counted at 18.

By region, there were 86 confirmed cases in the metropolitan area alone, including 50 in Seoul and 28 in Gyeonggi, and in 13 cities and provinces nationwide, including 7 in Daejeon and 6 in Chungnam in non-metropolitan areas.

The number of gastrointestinal and severely ill patients fell by 11 to 164, but the number of fatalities has increased by 5, so 355 people have died from Corona 19.

More than 20% of all confirmed cases were unclear in the last two weeks.

[Park Neung-hoo/Minister of Health and Welfare: Please stay at home with your family for the safety of our community and rapid economic recovery.] The

government is struggling over whether to extend the distance to the metropolitan area by 2.5 steps until tomorrow.

This is because sporadic infections continue throughout the country, and the number of new confirmed cases a day is seldom dropping below 100.

Accordingly, a plan is being reviewed to maintain the 2.5th step of distance distancing in the Seoul metropolitan area, but to partially ease the business restrictions for medium-risk facilities such as restaurants.

It is reported that the quarantine authorities will decide and announce by tomorrow whether or not to allow in-store operations in some industries after 9pm, instead of strengthening the indoor quarantine rules.
