Even during the typhoon Mitak last year, a maximum of 248 mm of rain fell 3 years after Typhoon Chaba in 2016, flooding the Taehwa River and a flood warning was issued.

The four dams in the area almost exceeded the full water level at one time in the morning, and if the rain continued until the afternoon, it would have caused substantial flood damage.

The river flows in from the entrance of the national garden and the surrounding area is reminiscent of an underwater garden.

The Nam-gu promenade 3km, Mugunghwa Garden 1km, and Osan Square Silgaecheon were all flooded with water filling up.

After the typhoon passed, the city conducted an on-site survey to determine the extent of the flood damage, and plans to immediately restore it.

The power outage that caused the most damage in the Maisak period also inflicted damage to businesses and homes during the High Sun.
