Typhoon Highsun is coming up to Uljin along the east coast through Pohang.

Uljin is expected to have the closest typhoon around 1pm.

We will connect reporter Seo Eun-jin at Jukbyeon Port in Uljin to find out the situation there.

Reporter Seo Eun-jin, please tell me.

<Reporter>

I am in Jukbyeon Port, Uljin-gun.

As you can see, the rain and wind are running hard.

Ships moored in the port with their operations stopped are also moving little by little.

At sea, waves of up to 7m are hitting the breakwater, causing a big splash.

Currently, the typhoon is expected to move faster than expected, and it is expected to approach the coast of Uljin around 1 PM.

Residents are tense as it is expected that water bombs of up to 400mm will be poured with strong winds of 25 to 40m per second in the east coast where the typhoon warning was issued and northern Gyeongbuk.

The amount of rain that has fallen so far is 51mm in Uljin, and there are places where it has rained more than 100mm in the east coast and northern Gyeongbuk.

The instantaneous maximum wind speed is 16m per second, and the wind strength is gradually increasing.

Jukbyeon Port in Uljin-gun suffered a lot of damage to the coastal villages such as houses and shopping centers flooded with the seawater that flowed back due to Mysak last week.

In order not to be damaged by typhoons, it is better to check the facilities and refrain from going out as much as possible around 1pm when the typhoon approaches Uljin.
