Typhoon High Ship landed on the southern coast of Ulsan around 9 am.

Let’s connect a reporter who is out of Ulsan Port, south of Ulsan.

Reporter Kim Deok-hyun, how is the situation there?

I am now at Ulsan Port Pier 1.

The Meteorological Administration announced that Typhoon Highsun had landed on the southern coast of Ulsan here around 9 am today (7th).

It rained hard with a strong wind that made it difficult to walk around until morning, but from 2 to 3 hours ago, the rain has stopped and the wind hardly blows and the sunlight sometimes shines.

It is the Taehwa River that crosses Ulsan with the full, muddy water you can see right behind me.

As the water level has risen due to heavy rain that lasted until the morning, a flood warning has been issued in the Taehwa Bridge section.

Ulsan Bridge, which was controlled in both directions due to strong winds, resumed traffic about an hour ago.

Reporter Deok-Hyun Kim, how is the damage situation?

<Reporter>

Plants with sky-blue roofs lined up across the river are Hyundai Motor Company's production plants.

At around 8:20 am, just before the typhoon landed in the south of Ulsan, production was temporarily suspended due to a power outage at the Hyundai Motor Company's Ulsan Plant 5 and the nearby Hyundai Mobis Plant.

In addition, there were power outages throughout Ulsan, including 23,000 households in Mugeo-dong, Nam-gu, Ulsan, and road damage was continued, as some sections of Asan-ro connecting Jung-gu and Dong-gu were controlled by flooding.

Authorities are working to restore areas affected by the typhoon.

The Ulsan Fire Department said that it has received more than 700 typhoon-related reports so far, such as the fall of a street tree or a broken window, but it is known that there are no casualties.
