Super pumpkin grown in Uiryeong-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do, has reached an unofficial record of 465 kg in weight, making it a hot topic.

According to Uiryeong-gun, the super-large pumpkins raised by Yang Jae-myeong and Baek Chul-suk in Yongdeok-myeon reach 465kg, far exceeding the record of 319kg, the national culinary fruit championship last year.

The couple set the same record even though they harvested pumpkins early because of typhoon Maisak.

In addition to this pumpkin, they harvested 6 super-large pumpkins weighing 144 to 408 kg.

The pumpkin was so big and heavy that about 20 people, including public officials and nonghyup employees, and heavy equipment such as 2 tractors, forklifts and 4 trucks were mobilized.

The couple is temporarily storing these pumpkins in the couple's agricultural warehouse, and they plan to present them at the National Gourd and Vegetables Fair.

The secret of the couple's growing super pumpkins is that they purchase super seeds directly from abroad, and then spend 1 to 2 hours each day for 5 months and carefully grow them.

Their goal was to grow up to 500 kg.

Yang Jae-myung said, "Super pumpkins were still growing, but due to the typhoon, it was very unfortunate that they had no choice but to be harvested so early." "I also said.
