I am now in Bomok Port, Seogwipo City, and as you can see behind me, a strong wave continues to rush and a strong rain and wind that makes it difficult for an adult man to stand properly makes me realize that this typhoon is approaching.

As the typhoon continues to approach Jeju, the damage continues to spread.

In Udo, Tianjin Port was submerged and parked vehicles were evacuated.

In Yeon-dong, Jeju-si and Seohong-do, Seogwipo-si, power outages have occurred to 1,100 households.

Additional power outage damage is also occurring.

Dozens of incidents of safety measures for streetlights, roofs, and signboards were received due to the wind.

In Hallim-eup, a vehicle while driving was even overturned by the wind.

Typhoon Mysak is currently heading north at a speed of 19 km/h from 170 km southeast of Seogwipo.

The central air pressure is 95hPa, and the maximum wind speed in the center is 45m per second, so it maintains a very strong force of 162km per hour.

This typhoon is expected to be in recent contact with Jeju between 6 pm and 7 pm, as the speed of the typhoon is getting faster than originally expected.

Currently, typhoon warnings are in effect throughout Jeju. All flights to Jeju have been canceled except for about 20 morning departures and arrivals, and passenger ship operations have also been completely suspended.

About 200 schools in Jeju Island also stopped going to school today (2nd).

The entrance to Hallasan Mountain was also completely controlled.

There was a heavy rain of 230mm in Hallasan and nearly 100mm in Geumak in Hallim-eup, and the rain is getting stronger.

For this reason, we are concerned that it will become a typhoon of the past, leaving considerable strong winds and flood damage in Jeju like the typhoon cicada in 2003.

In addition, as typhoons are turning to the west than expected, the extent of the typhoon's impact is expected to increase.

In particular, the time period when the typhoon Mysak passes through Jeju overlaps with the high tide period, causing damage to the coastal and low-lying residents.
