A transparent mask raises more than 100,000 € in a few days -

Reserved for a long time for a niche of professionals, protective masks are now part of our daily life to fight against the spread of the coronavirus.

They are now necessary for getting around the streets, shopping or working.

But this surgical equipment is not necessarily very popular: breathing problems, sweating, pain in the attachments, difficulties for the hearing impaired, but also pollution.

This is why some are looking to develop masks of a new kind.

Beyond tech companies, designers are also interested in the issue.

This is particularly the case of Solight, a New York-based design company, which has developed a new concept of a transparent protective mask without attachment.

The mask “sticks” directly to the skin.

Transparent and flexible, it allows you to see the entire face of the wearer.

In medical design silicone, the SEEUS95 mask is also reusable and is very easy to wash in the microwave or in the dishwasher.

It also promises effective protection against microbes since it incorporates natural filters of level N95 made from bamboo, charcoal, silver and silk.

An immediate success

The crowdfunding campaign was very popular.

In just one day, the target of 21,000 euros was reached.

Two weeks later, the project exceeded 120,000 euros in crowdfunding.

The campaign is so successful that the single mask formula is no longer available.

If you want to get a transparent mask, you will have to opt for the offer of two copies, count 66 euros.

The SEEUS95 mask is still in the development phase, but it would have passed several tests with flying colors according to the authors of the campaign, including those of the famous MIT.

If the campaign ends in September, the marketing and sending of the masks are not planned before next December.
