I am in Gangneung Port, Gangwon-do.

About an hour ago, the rain started to get thicker and the wind started to blow harder.

Even at sea, high waves of more than 5m are rushing to the shore.

Currently, 10 to 30 mm of rain per hour is falling on the east coast of Gangwon, and strong winds with a maximum instantaneous wind speed of 10 to 20 m are blowing in the mountains and coasts.

Typhoon warnings are predicted for all offshore areas in the central part of the East Sea at 5 am, but about 260 fishing boats are evacuated in Hangpo-gu, Gangwon-do.

On the east coast of Gangwon-do, a torrential rain poured last night, causing flood damage from various places.

Heavy rain of 125 mm per hour poured into Yangyang-gun, and concentrated torrential rain of more than 50 mm per hour in Gangneung and Sokcho.

Disaster texts were sent to the residents of the low-lying areas of Yangyang-gun, telling them to evacuate to a safe place, and roads in Sokcho and Gangneung areas were also flooded and low-lying houses were flooded.

Last night, the road from Yangyang to Samcheok was restricted for more than two hours due to soil flow from the Donghae Expressway.

The amount that has been lowered so far is 320mm for Misiryeong and 271.5mm for Yangyang.

The typhoon is expected to escape to the sea near the East Sea between 6 am and 7 am, but there is concern about damage as it rains up to 250 mm in the east coast of Gangwon and strong winds of 20 to 40 m per second are forecast.
