Let's take a look at Pohang, which is located above Ulsan.

Pohang is expected to pass typhoon'Maisak' tomorrow (3rd) around 4 am.

I will connect to the field.

Reporter Park Young-hoon of TBC, please tell us the situation in Pohang.

Yes, it is at the pier of Pohang Passenger Ship Terminal.

In Pohang, thick rain has been falling and stopping a little while ago.

The power of the wind is also noticeably increasing.

As the typhoon approaches, a strong wind is blowing that makes it difficult to hold an umbrella.

In addition to the passenger ship behind me, three large passenger ships are moored at the pier here to avoid typhoons.

In addition, more than 2,700 fishing boats have been evacuated in major ports and ports such as Dongbin Inner Harbor in Pohang and Yeongdeok and Uljin.

Currently, typhoon warnings have been issued throughout the inland and offshore of Gyeongsangbuk-do, and it is expected that heavy rains of 100 to 300 mm and more than 400 mm will be poured by tomorrow.

I am worried about the strong winds that a typhoon will bring, but it seems that there will be very strong winds of 20 to 40 meters per second in the interior of Gyeongbuk and 50 meters per second on the east coast of Gyeongbuk, Ulleungdo and Dokdo.

The East Coast of Gyeongsangbuk-do is also worried about the high tide times and typhoons.

The sea level on the east coast of Gyeongbuk is highest at around 6 and 7 a.m. tomorrow, and tsunami and flood damage caused by strong winds are concerned.

Low-lying areas on the east coast, such as Yeongdeok Gang-gu Market, which has been through a water crisis for the third year, have been unable to slow down the tension by putting the water pump on standby in an emergency.

The east coast of Gyeongsangbuk-do is expected to hit its peak from around 2 and 3 a.m. tomorrow, when typhoon Mysak is closest.
