Pastor Jeon Kwang-hoon Sarangjeil Church was discharged from the hospital after completing COVID-19 quarantine treatment.

The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Intelligent Crime Investigation Unit is securing data related to the alleged interference with quarantine at four church-related facilities, including the former pastor's residence in Jangwi-dong, Seongbuk-gu, Seoul at around 4:30 pm today.

Pastor Jeon is charged with interfering with the epidemiological investigation by submitting the list of members to be investigated, including members, after the outbreak of group infection (violation of the Infectious Disease Prevention Act).

He is also accused of violating self-isolation measures by the quarantine authorities and participating in a rally in downtown Seoul on Liberation Day.

On the 16th of last month, the Central Accident Control Headquarters and the Seoul Metropolitan Government accused the former pastor and the people of Sarangjeil Church to the police.

The pastor was transferred to the Seoul Medical Center after being confirmed for Corona 19 on the 17th, the next day.

Earlier, on the 21st of last month, the police seized and searched Sarangjeil Church for 4 hours and 20 minutes to secure an accurate list of members.

The police have been conducting digital forensic work on church members-related materials stored on PCs in the church.

A police official explained, "As a result of the analysis of the confiscated goods secured by the last seizure and search, it is necessary to obtain additional data, so we have conducted a seizure search."
