Strongly developed typhoon No. 9'Mysak' is rapidly heading north toward the Korean Peninsula. The typhoon is expected to land on the southern coast of Gyeongnam in the early morning of the 3rd on Thursday, and it is expected to penetrate the Yeongnam region.

As it developed into a strong typhoon, even eyes were formed.

As of 9 am, it is a strong medium-sized typhoon with a central air pressure of 950 hpa, a strong wind of 43 m/s and 155 km/h in the center, and a strong wind radius of 380 km.

The Meteorological Administration predicted that the typhoon Maisak, which is heading north from the sea near Okinawa, Japan, about 470 km, will pass through the sea to the east of Jeju Island on the night after Wednesday and land on the southern coast of Gyeongsangnam-do at the dawn of the 3rd Thursday.

After passing through the Yeongnam region, the Meteorological Administration predicted that the day after tomorrow, it would escape to the East Sea off the coast of Yeongdeok.

As the typhoon hits the north, it is expected that it will rain from tomorrow morning in Jeju Island due to the indirect influence of the typhoon, and a heavy rain and wind will blow across the country from the day after tomorrow to Thursday morning.

The Meteorological Administration called for thorough preparation to avoid damage, saying that it is expected that gusts of over 40m per second are expected to blow instantaneously in Jeju Island, Yeongnam Coast, and Yeongdong, Gangwon, which are close to the typhoon's path.
