Strongly developed typhoon No. 9'Mysak' is rapidly heading north toward the Korean Peninsula. The typhoon is expected to land on the southern coast of Gyeongsangnam-do in the early morning of the 3rd, Thursday, but the east coast is subject to rain of over 400mm.

The typhoon is a strong medium-sized typhoon with a central air pressure of 950 hPa, a strong wind of 43 m/s and 155 km/h from the center, and a strong wind radius of 380 km.

The Meteorological Administration predicted that the typhoon Mysak, which is sailing north from the sea near Okinawa, about 270 km, will land on the southern coast of Gyeongsangnam-do in the early morning of the 3rd Thursday, passing through the sea on the east side of Jeju Island from afternoon to night on Wednesday.

After passing through the Yeongnam region, the Meteorological Administration predicted that in the morning it would escape to the East Sea off the coast of Yeongdeok.

As the typhoon rises north, it is expected that it will rain from tomorrow (1st) morning in Jeju Island due to the indirect influence of the typhoon, and heavy rain and wind will blow across the country from the day after tomorrow to Thursday morning.

The Meteorological Administration predicted that a maximum rain of 400 mm or more will fall on the east coast and 100 to 300 mm of rain in Yeongdong, Gangwon, Gyeongnam and Jeju Island due to the typhoon.

The Meteorological Administration called for thorough preparation to avoid damage, saying that it is expected that gusts of over 40m per second are expected to blow instantaneously in Jeju Island, Yeongnam Coast, and Yeongdong, Gangwon, which are close to the typhoon's path.
