Black smoke constantly rises into the sky.

In the place where the fire was swept away, only the structure of the building that was bent like a malt remained.

The fire at the Styrofoam manufacturing plant in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi-do was about 1:30 noon today (29th).

The fire was so strong that it swept through the factory building where it first caught fire and spread to two other factories.

The firefighting authorities issued a second stage of response within 1 hour of receiving the report, putting in more than 60 equipment such as pump cars and about 100 firefighters, and caught a big fire in about 3 hours.

However, six buildings of three factories were burned, and parked trucks and materials in the factory were damaged by fire.

Workers working in the factory were evacuated at the beginning of the fire, and there was no human injury.

[Han Eung-Hyun/Hwaseong Fire Department Disaster Prevention Manager: According to a plant official, it is believed that a fire occurred while cutting the plastic.] As the

smoke mixed with the rainwater that just fell, black rain fell in the nearby village.

[Cho Saengman/Black Rain Witness Residents: (At first) only smoke came, but I didn't know that it settled down. As time passed, the car became like this, the floor. Soot and smoke ash were flowing down.] The

fire department is investigating the exact cause of the fire with the police and other related agencies.
