According to the police and the fire station, today (28th) around 12:28 pm, A (77) grandmother stood in front of the escalator at the exit of Yeoksam Station on Subway Line 2 and shouted, "I am a corona patient."
Citizens, such as office workers who were going to and from the neighborhood during lunchtime, were amazed and hurried to evacuate, and it was reported that there was some confusion in the area.
This grandmother was confirmed to be a confirmed person of 140 Dongjak-gu, who was tested positive for Corona 19 today.
According to Dongjak-gu, the ward office told the grandmother about the confirmation of Corona 19 by phone at around 10 am today and asked to self-isolate.
However, it was found that a ward employee called the grandmother again at around 12 p.m. for an epidemiological investigation, and the ward office employee reported it to the fire department when the grandmother answered, "I am outside now."
After getting off at Yeoksam Station according to the instructions of the ward office staff, the grandmother was taken home with the firefighters who were dispatched.
A ward official said, "There are a lot of patients in the hospital, so the bed has not been assigned yet."
It is known that the grandmother was wearing a health mask.
The police dispatched at the request of the fire department's cooperation blocked access to the escalator, elevator, and toilets in the station where the grandmother moved and took quarantine measures.
A police official said, "It is estimated that the grandmother traveled by the subway. We will investigate the exact details of the incident, such as analyzing the traffic line."
