A woman in her 60s, who was handed over to trial for damaging important parts of her body after feeding her divorced ex-husband to sleep with sleeping pills, dropped her head in court, claiming that she suffered from her husband's violence for over 40 years after marriage.

Mr. A (69), who was a defendant in court at a trial held on the 27th at the hearing of a judge Choi Sang-soo, exclusively for criminal 6 of the Seoul Northern District Law, suffered violence even after divorce, saying, "I kept being beaten (by my ex-husband) and even applied for an access bar two years ago." The statement was made to the effect of committing a crime.

According to the prosecution, Mr. A was arrested in May at the house of his ex-husband B (70) in Dobong-gu, Seoul, on charges of cutting a part of his body with a weapon after feeding him sleeping pills to make him sleep.

Immediately after the crime, Mr. A surrendered to the police and was arrested as a current offender.

Mr. A, who married Mr. B 44 years ago, suffered from frequent violence and divorced at dusk in June 2018, but it was investigated that he began to come and go again with Mr. B due to difficulties in daily life due to surgery on his legs.

Mr. A's lawyer said, "I acknowledge all the prosecution's charges."

According to the judiciary, my ex-husband B said,'I don't have any resentment against (the defendant) and I think I've been paid the offense that I have been neglecting (the victim). I filed a petition stating that I will live with atonement for the rest of my time.

Mr. A, who was crying and unable to connect at the trial that day, showed tears when the trial was over and said, "I'm sorry" to the judge.

The next trial will take place on the 22nd of the following month.
