La Ville Blanche, in Rospez, was voted second best restaurant in the world by the TripAdvisor website. Since then, he has received threats and anonymous letters in his mailbox. Faced with the repeated number of incidents, Yvann Guglielmetti, co-manager of the restaurant, had to install an alarm system, he explains at the microphone of Europe 1.

Being voted second best restaurant in the world has become a real pain for the boss of La Ville Blanche . The restaurant based in Rospez near Lannion, in Brittany, has been the target of anonymous letters since the publication of the ranking established by TripAdvisor in early August. "You all have the heads of dead rats, you will run to make a big smile in front of the press", one can read on an unsigned message, found in the mailbox of the establishment.

End of service: our teams give their best in these difficult times and we find this in our mailbox. Obviously unsigned, it's so much easier that way ..... We don't pretend to be the best restaurant but for a week we have noticed these inhuman remarks Thank you ... # cotesdarmor #bretagne #Bzh #lavilleblanche #tablesetsaveursdebretagne #gaultetmillaufr # guide109 #michelinguide #tripadvisor #travelschoice #republiquefrancaise #emmanuelmacron #brigittemacron #jeancastex #umihelp #gendarmerie

"I don't sleep anymore at night"

Yvann Guglielmetti, the restaurant's co-manager, and Maud, his partner, would have been fine. "We had a few letters saying that it was a masquerade", she explains to the microphone of Europe 1. "Following that, we installed an alarm system, because there is a lot of traffic. strange people. I no longer sleep at night, "abounds her husband.

However, on the kitchen side, the stoves have never been so active. Noon and evening, the 40 seats are full and you have to book at least a good week in advance. Marie, 19, admits that since the publication of the ranking, the pace is a little more sustained. “We have more customers and we had to change the pace of the service,” she says. To help him, Yvann and Maud search for a chef de rang and a sommelier, with the hope that the anonymous letters will stop being sent. “We have people who are either mean or a little jealous and that hurts a little the heart,” laments Maud.
