There was an accident where 3 people were inspecting a water well collecting water in the basement of a building. A report has been received due to electric shock, but as a result of the identification, a lack of oxygen is suspected.

is a residential-commercial building in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul.

Today (14th), around 11:30 am, a 119 report was received indicating that Mr. A, etc. in his 50s fell on the 2nd basement floor.

[Guard Office Officer: There is a pipe through which the water goes down, and water is pooled under it, and I think you suffered (accident) under it.]

There is a catchment well that collects rainwater, etc. on the second basement level, and the building management employee 2 inspecting the pump in it. The people fell for an unknown reason.

When a colleague didn't return, another employee who went to check found them and reported them.

After hearing the news of the accident, Mr. Lee, the manager of the management, ran to the site on the second basement floor, went into the water well and fell unconscious.

These three were taken to the hospital, but all died.

Today's inspection is known as a monthly regular inspection conducted by the building management office staff.

The first report on 119 was that it was presumed to be an electric shock accident, but as a result of on-site inspections by related organizations such as the Electrical Safety Corporation, no evidence of leakage was found.

No toxic gases were detected in the water well.

As the cause of the accident falls into a labyrinth, police are calling building officials to investigate whether there were any problems with the facility or work process.
