Democratic Party lawmaker Yoon Mi-hyang, who attended the Seoul Western District Prosecutor's Office at around 1:30 yesterday, completed an investigation at around 4:05 a.m. and returned home.

The Seoul West District Prosecutor's Office said it had summoned Rep. Yoon, who was accused of embezzlement for business purposes, as a suspect.

The investigation was conducted right after yesterday's daytime attendance until close to 1:00 a.m., and the record was read for about three hours afterwards, the West District Prosecutors' Office explained.

It has been three months since the prosecution launched an investigation into the press conference of Grandmother Lee Yong-soo, a comfort woman victim who raised suspicion of private misappropriation of donations in May, and the subsequent accusations of civic groups.

The prosecution is known to have invested heavily in investigating Rep. Yun to see if he had embezzled the funeral expenses of the late grandmother Kim Bok-dong when he served as the chairman of the Justice Memory Association.

In addition, it is also questioning whether there was any illegal activity in the process of buying a shelter building in Anseong, Gyeonggi-do for 750 million won in 2013 and disposing it for 400 million won in recent years.

Prior to the summons of Rep. Yun, the prosecution confiscated and searched the office of Eui-yeon, Mapo, and shelters in Anseong, and the related people were investigated in turn.

The prosecution will soon review the policy for handling recruits and whether to prosecute him.
