Apple would consider releasing in 2023 an iPad or a foldable iPhone, whose screens are not connected by hinges. The company has not made any communication on the subject, but rumors are rife on social networks, reports tech media Gizmochina .

In addition to a release date, the Komiya Twitter account, specializing in information about Apple, provides several information. The hypothetical foldable smartphone would have the characteristics of an iPhone but, when unfolded, would look more like an iPad. Komiya also wonders about the possibility that the product works under the iPadOS operating system.

A MicroLED screen soon on the iPhone

The camera and the fingerprint sensor would be placed under the screen. The device would have an A16X or A17 processor manufactured using the 3 nm process. The latter is a guarantee of quality which could give the future iPad an advantage over the references of Apple's main competitors, comments Gizmochina . The terminal would probably be compatible with Apple Glass connected glasses or Apple's augmented reality headset.

The screen could also be equipped with MicroLED technology. Apple has been working for some time on terminals offering this innovation in display. It could appear on the brand's new models within three to four years, according to a company working with Apple in this sector.
