Five foreign students who were isolated from the increased water after entering the submerged bridge, which had risen due to heavy rain, were safely rescued thanks to the CCTV control center.

According to Seocho-gu, Seoul, the Seocho CCTV Integrated Control Center, which looked at areas of concern for heavy rains in the building, such as Banpo Bridge, Jamsu Bridge, Dongjak Bridge, and Hannam Bridge, at around 10 p.m. on the 4th of this month, found five foreign students walking from the northern end of Jamsu Bridge.

They walked from the northern end of Yongsan to the southern end of Banpo, and were isolated by the Jamsugyo Bridge, where the water swelled greatly. At that time, Jamsu Bridge was under control from the 2nd due to the rise of the Han River.

The appearance of them crossing the Jamsu Bridge was clearly captured by CCTV. They crossed at a slow pace due to the high flow of water that reached knee level. When I nearly got off the CCTV screen while crossing the bridge, the control center immediately adjusted the angle to check their movement.

The center immediately notified the police while observing the situation of the students wandering in search of a way out, and dispatched to the scene from the Seocho Police Station to move the students to a safe place.
