While praying on ordination to get rid of the evil spirits in his body, a pastor who killed a believer in his twenties (active soldier) by strangling him and assaulted him with a cross was sentenced to 12 years in prison by the prosecution.

In this case, the decision was held today (12th) at the hearing of Suwon District Law Criminal Division 11 (presiding judge Kim Mi-gyeong), the prosecution made a request to Pastor A, who was accused of assault death.

The prosecution also asked the court to imprison three people, including Mr. A's wife B, another pastor C, and his wife D, who were involved in the crime by helping Mr. A hold the victim's limbs.

Mr. A was accused of striking his body with a cross and strangling his body while praying for ordination to E (24), a member of the military, who left the army at a church in the Gyeonggi region at about 1 am on February 7th. Prosecuted.

Mr. B and others are accused of helping Mr. A, grabbing the arms and legs of Mr. E, the victim, to prevent him from getting up.

It was investigated that two people, a 16-year-old daughter and a 9-year-old daughter, of another pastor, Mr. C, also participated in the crime.

However, the eldest daughter was under the age of 18, so she was sent to Family Court in a juvenile protection case, and the younger daughter was not arrested because she was a criminal minor.

This incident, in which a healthy military man in his twenties was killed in a ruthless assault during the ordination prayer process, occurred when Pastor A performed a demeaning act to heal victim E, who complained of stress in the military.

Mr. A and Mr. B said to Mr. E, who started camping at the church on February 2nd, five days before the incident, "the cause of mental pain such as stress in military life is due to evil spirits in the body." He instructed him to hit himself and be nauseous, saying, "Paying is a way to cure mental illness."

Four days later, around 11 p.m. on the 6th of the same month, they called the C's family members who were in the church for depression and panic disorder at the time and prayed for them.

Mr. A and Mr. B assaulted Mr. E, who showed signs of dehydration due to fasting for five days, saying, "Tomorrow is returning to vacation, so we must get out of the ghost today." C's family grabbed E's struggling limbs. It.

After 10 minutes of assault and timbering, Mr. E died.

The prosecution said, "Defendant A claims that it was the purpose of healing, but looking at the method of the crime, it is judged that he exercised an illegal tangible force beyond the original purpose of prayer. In the case of defendant C, he was brainwashed by defendant A. They are arguing that they have committed the crime, but it seems that they were committed only because of wrong religious notions.”

The defendants made a final statement to the effect of "sorry to the victim's family."

Mr. E's father, who came to court, said, "I can still see my son's fantasy and hear hallucinations."

The court decided to hold a sentence on the 4th of next month.
