Mercedes-Benz presented the first images of the interior of the new S-Class on Wednesday. The brand's flagship model will be unveiled in its entirety later this summer. The control buttons have been replaced by a large touch screen.

Large screens are already common as a replacement for the instrumentation, but a large touch screen in the middle was reserved for Tesla models until recently. The idea is now being imitated in the new Mercedes-Benz S-Class.

Things like the climate control and audio control are now controlled via the screen; the only physical button left is the one for starting. Mercedes is also taking a new direction with the design of the dashboard. Photos of test specimens of the new C-Class reveal that this model will have a similar interior, so a landscape touch screen with ventilation grilles above.

New S-Class is fitness coach

According to Mercedes-Benz, the new S-Class can signal whether the driver is tired or stressed. It uses information from, for example, the smartphone or fitness bracelet. This way the car knows whether the driver has slept well. The S-Class can also advise where and how to stretch your legs

In addition, the German brand is high on the air filtration system of the S-Class and the greater adjustment options of the seat and steering wheel. According to Mercedes, a driver only has to pass on his height to the car.

Finally, the car makes very small changes to the adjustment of the backrest and headrest during the ride, which would be better for your sitting position. In addition, the cushions on the rear headrests are now heated, the massage function of the seats has been improved and the audio has also been thought of. For example, the messages from the navigation system no longer blare through the entire car, but are transmitted in the direction of the driver.
