After a drunk driving accident, Inspector A of the Dongdaemun Police Station in Seoul, who was handed over to the prosecution on charges of sexual assault and illegal shooting, was dismissed.

The Dongdaemun Police Department said yesterday (11th) that it had held a disciplinary committee at 10:30 am and fired Inspector A.

Disciplinary punishment for police officials is divided into severe disciplinary punishment such as dismissal, dismissal, relegation, and honesty, and light disciplinary punishment such as reduction and reprimand.

Inspector A who is dismissed will be deprived of his/her status as a public official and will be restricted from appointment to public office for 5 years, and retirement benefits will also be reduced.

Inspector A is accused of sexual assault and illegal filming of a woman B, who was drinking with him in Mapo-gu in June.

Police investigation revealed that Inspector A illegally photographed parts of the body of not only B, but also other women.

On the 17th of last month, Inspector A was sent to the prosecution on charges of quasi-rape and illegal shooting.

Inspector A, who was previously affiliated with the headquarters of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, was arrested by the police in an accident in which he hit an outdoor unit in a building while drinking and driving in May.
