Five people died in a landslide in Gokseong, Jeollanam-do three days ago. The rain has stopped, but recovery has not yet started. Residents who have lived in that village for over 10 years are still unable to return home because of fear.

From the collapse of National Highway 15 where the expansion was underway, soil began to flow and covered the village below the mountain.

It was a place that was strong enough to travel with neighbors every year, but since the last 8 days, the village has lost its vitality.

[Nomiae/Landslide victims: I can't sleep here because I'm nervous. Just mind. I have panic disorder, i. Even if they eat, they vomit.]

A resident who has lived in this village for 12 years sighs, saying that he may no longer be able to live there.

[Kim Geum-seon/Landslide Victims: Five people died here. The person I lived with. I remember where you would live? I remember. I don't think I can buy it. We said that it would be nice if you could move.]

The police also started a full-scale investigation with experts on what was the cause of this landslide.

Since the starting point of the landslide was the extension of National Route 15, a detailed investigation is being conducted based on the comments of residents that there were several blasting works before the accident.

[Police officials: We formed an investigation team, and civil engineering professors are conducting another field investigation today. If there is a problem due to the construction cause, it could be a negligent manslaughter... .]

Rather than the damage to the village caused by the landslide, the terror that occurred in people's hearts remained deeper.
