This year, Korea's first typhoon, Typhoon No. 5,'Rose' passed through the Gyeongnam region without much damage.

The Busan Regional Meteorological Office announced that the typhoon'Rose', which landed at the southern tip of Geoje Island, southeast of Tongyeong, at around 2:50 pm today (10th), is expected to weaken due to temperate cyclone and disappear.

Typhoon'Rose' is expected to weaken at around 6 pm due to temperate cyclones on land near 60 km north of Ulsan.

The center of the'Rose' is going north-north-east from Changwon to Gimhae through Tongyeong around 4 pm this afternoon.

As of 3 PM, the central air pressure of'Rose' is 998hPa, the maximum wind speed in the center is 18m per second, and the radius of strong wind is 180km.

Currently, there have been no reports of typhoon-related damage received at the Gyeongnam Fire Department and Changwon Fire Department.

Typhoon warnings are in effect throughout Gyeongnam, including 18 cities and counties in Gyeongnam, and the far sea and offshore south seas.

In the Gyeongnam area, as of 4 pm, it rained a lot on Jirisan Sancheong 120mm, Sancheong Sicheonmyeon 113mm, Hadong 106.5mm.

In western Gyeongnam, such as Jinju, precipitation was recorded between 30mm and 60mm, and in other regions, 30mm to 60mm.

The rain is expected to continue until midnight today.

An official from the Meteorological Administration said, "Be careful as it may rain a lot until the night due to the typhoon."
