Typhoon No. 5'Rose' is expected to weaken due to temperate cyclone before 6 pm on the 10th.


The Meteorological Administration predicted that the typhoon rose landed at the southern tip of Geoje Island, southeast of Tongyeong, Gyeongsangnam-do at around 2:50 pm and was traveling north-north-east at a speed of 50 km/h.

An official from the Meteorological Administration said, "As the typhoon moves to the inland of Gyeongsang, it is weakening due to friction." Explained.


Although the wind is weak, the rain cloud zone caused by typhoons will remain until night in many places where there is temporary strong rain.

By 9 pm on this day, strong rain is expected to be in the center of Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, Gangwon-do, Chungcheong-do, and Gyeongsang-do, and the wind is expected to blow very strongly at 35-60 km/h and 90 km/h on the east coast of Gyeongsang and southern Gangwon.

On the 11th, while the whole country is generally cloudy, there will be rainy places in the central region, Jeolla-do, Gyeongbuk, and northwestern Gyeongnam.

Estimated cumulative precipitation for 10-11 days is 50-150 mm in southern Gyeonggi, southern Gangwon, Chungcheong-do, and Jeonbuk (over 200 mm in many places).

North of Seoul·Gyeonggi and northern part of Gangwon, Jeonnam, Gyeongsangdo, Jeju Island, West Sea 5do, Ulleungdo·Dokdo are 30~80㎜.

The Meteorological Administration urged special attention as there is a high possibility that damage such as flooding of lowlands and agricultural lands, landslides, and collapse of the ledge due to additional rains due to the recent heavy rain and weakening of the ground.

In Gangwon-do, Gyeongsang-do, inland eastern Jeollanam-do, and Jeju-do, there may be places where the daytime temperature rises above 33 degrees on the 11th with the heatwave warning in effect.

The meteorological agency emphasized that the humidity is high and the temperature will be even higher, so take care of health care and take care not to damage agriculture, livestock, and industry.
