Covid-19 outbreak occurred in a shopping district in Namdaemun Market in Seoul.

According to Seoul and Jung-gu, eight merchants were confirmed by the afternoon of yesterday (9th) at'Kennedy Shopping Center' at Namdaemun Market.

On the 7th, a woman working in this mall (resided in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do) was first confirmed, and as a result of examining 20 merchants working on the same floor as the woman, seven more were confirmed.

In addition, a total of 9 confirmed cases were due to additional confirmed children of the first woman.

The quarantine authorities will check to see if there are more contacts and conduct an inspection.

Infected merchants worked in stores on the first floor of the mall.

Seoul City has more workers on different floors of the same building, and it is estimated that there are around 5 people.

Authorities are also recommending that shop visitors who come into contact with these merchants be tested.

The Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasure Headquarters (Company) and Jung-gu sent disaster texts with this information.

Kennedy Shopping Center is a women's fashion shopping district located between Exit 5 and Exit 6 of Hoehyeon Station on Line 4 of the Seoul Subway (48-7 Namchang-dong, Jung-gu).
