Rain has risen again today (9th) to Gyeonggi, Gangwon, and Jungbu. Now, the rain cloud is located just north of the armistice line, so the northern part of Gyeonggi-do and Gangwon-do are affected. So, tonight, I am most concerned about the area around the Hantan River in Cheorwon, Pocheon, Paju, and Imjin River in Yeoncheon. Our reporter is at the top of the Hantan River, and we will check it from here. Let's connect.

Reporter Jeong Ban-seok, it seems like the rain is falling a little now. How is the situation?

Yes, I am now at Yeongpyeonggyo, Pocheon-si, Gyeonggi-do.

As a rainy rain of more than 150mm fell today, the water level in Yeongpyeongcheon, a tributary of the Hantan River, rose, and a flood warning was issued in the area around Yeongpyeongcheon at 3 pm today.

It is raining little by little now, and the water level of Yeongpyeongcheon Stream is close to 4.5m, which is the severe flood warning level, and is currently recording 3.7m, 3.5m above the flood warning judgment line.

Fortunately, in this area, private houses have been formed on high ground, and no evacuation order has been issued for residents.

However, as the water level rises, it immediately affects the downstream Yeoncheon area, so the authorities are maintaining an emergency work system.

Gangwon-do and Cheorwon are also serious.

Today, a heavy rain of more than 180mm has poured out and the water level of the Hantan River has risen, and an evacuation order has been issued for residents.

Four days ago, about 400 people, including 132 people in Igil-ri, Dongsong-eup, Cheorwon-eup, 22 people in Dongmak-ri, Galmal-eup, and 235 people in Jeongyeon-ri, were evacuated to the village hall and nearby elementary schools, where the village was completely submerged.

The Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasure Headquarters said that 30 people were killed, 12 were missing, and 6,000 people were displaced this month due to the rainy season.
