▲ Citizens demanding the identification of food poisoning in kindergarten groups

It was announced today (5th) that the group's food poisoning at Ansan A Private Kindergarten in Gyeonggi originated from poor food management in kindergarten.

A police official said, “Since food poisoning has occurred simultaneously, we have been focusing on investigating this as a problem with the kindergarten's food supply, storage, and cooking processes.”

The official said, “We made these estimates based on medical factors as to the cause of food poisoning.” However, more investigation is needed to determine the cause of poor food management.

A In the kindergarten, 118 people, including the original students, showed suspicion of food poisoning after the first food poisoning patients occurred on June 12 of this year.

Sixteen of them were diagnosed with complications of hemolytic uremic syndrome (aka Hamburger's disease) and even received dialysis treatment.

Parents sued the head of the kindergarten for violating the Food Sanitation Act and for negligence in work, and the police conducted a 10-hour intensive investigation against the head on the 3rd.

The head of the kindergarten was reportedly said by the police with the intention of saying, "I respect the judgment of the investigative agency (which is a matter of food management, etc.)"

Investigation by the health authorities is ongoing for the causative agents that have caused collective food poisoning, but some preservation diets have been lost, and it is known that they are struggling with the investigation.

A Kindergartens have been fined by the health authorities for not preserving some of the preservation food that they had to prepare for food poisoning.

Meanwhile, the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education plans to convert kindergarten A into a public kindergarten with building purchases.
