The police are investigating whether a police officer in an investigation to catch a man in his twenties who has infiltrated the house following a woman who is returning to the home can apply the suspected sexual assault attempt.

An official from the Daejeon Western Police Station said today (28th) that "A suspect (A), 28, is investigating the purpose of entering the woman's home in various ways."

Mr. A is accused of invading a multi-family house in Doma-dong, Seo-gu, Daejeon, on the 15th of last month at 11:20 pm.

He forcibly broke into the house the moment the victim woman opened the door and ran away as the victim screamed.

As a result of the police analyzing the recorded video of the closed circuit (CC) TV, it was confirmed that Mr. A chased the victim for 15 minutes.

This incident reminds us of the so-called'Seoul Sillim-dong incident', which was controversial in the Social Network Service (SNS) last year.

Mr. B(31), who was sentenced to one year in prison in the Sillim-dong case, followed the woman who returned home at 6:20 am on May 28 of last year, and tried to follow the woman as soon as she entered the house. The intrusion failed.

The two cases differ only in whether they have actually entered the house or not, but the overall content is the same.

In the case of Sillim-dong, the police and the prosecution applied both to the indictment of housing intrusion and the attempt to commit sexual assault to Mr. B, but the court consistently admitted only the intrusion of housing and innocent of charges of not committing sexual assault.

"I was just talking about having a drink," he said, accepting Mr. B's claim that he had no intention of sexual crime.

The court said, "If the punishment is based on the possibility that the intention of sexual crime was likely, it is an arbitrary exercise of the state's right to punish the country. It is contrary to criminal justice." "I couldn't easily acknowledge the intention by simply saying that it could happen."

In this case, the police noticed that Mr. A actually entered the house, unlike Mr. B.

There are opinions within the police that there is no difficulty in applying the alleged sexual assault attempt.

Mr. A is known to admit that he only accused of invading a house in a police investigation.

Meanwhile, the police have been forced to evade criticism of the investigation.

The police secured a CCTV image of Mr. A immediately after the incident last month, but failed to identify the suspect for more than a month.

Despite the distribution of a wanted flyer with a photo of the suspect and the impression of immigration earlier this month, no progress has been made in the investigation.

The police arrested him at Mr. A's house, only 1.5 km from the victim's residence, as a citizen report filed yesterday as soon as media reports of the incident went out.

A police official explained, "I was tracking several people on board the dragon, including Mr. A."
