Quarantine officials said today (28th) that they will come up with measures to prevent recurrence by strengthening security in connection with the incident of three Vietnamese escaped from a temporary living facility in Gimpo, Gyeonggi-do.

The deputy general manager of the Central Accident Remediation Headquarters (heavy version), referring to a Vietnamese escape incident at the Corona 19 briefing held today at the Sejong Government Complex, said, “I am sorry for the unfortunate occurrence. "We're looking for ways to strengthen it."

"Generally, there are police and military personnel in the living facilities, so we are in control of foreigners, and it seems to be necessary to strengthen this part, and we will also look for ways to strengthen security in consideration of CCTV, etc."

Yesterday, three Vietnamese who would escape from Gimpo's temporary residence facility for foreigners entered Korea as a short-term resident status (b2) for tourism and transit purposes.

They were admitted on the 20th and were judged as'negative' in the first diagnostic test.

This is the first time that there have been cases of unauthorized departure from foreign temporary living facilities.
