▲'A heartfelt apology' (永遠の贖罪), released on the 10th of next month, Korea Native Botanical Garden

It is a sculpture called'Atonement of Eternity' to be released next month at the Korean Native Botanical Garden.

In front of the girls' statue, it is said that the man who is kneeling is not the Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

Japanese supporters and Sankei Shimbun, etc. quoted our media as saying, "The Korean Native Botanical Garden in Pyeongchang, Gangwon-do, in the northeast of Korea installed a statue in the garden that mimics Abe, who apologizes and kneels on the comfort women."

The Sankei Shimbun said the sculptor said, "Abe sees Prime Minister Abe avoiding apologies for the problem of colonialism and comfort women and acting contrary to it."

The Kyodo News Agency quoted the director of the Korea Native Botanical Garden as saying, "It is not a specific case of Prime Minister Abe, but a symbol of all men in apology."

Japanese media believe that this sculpture will be the basis for a new conflict between Korea and Japan.

In addition, he said, "There are opinions in Korea and opinions that are diplomaticly rude."

The botanical garden will hold the unveiling ceremony on the 10th of next month and release the sculptures to the public.
