OnePlus introduces its new smartphone, the OnePlus North - Geeko

After several weeks of teasing, OnePlus has finally unveiled its new smartphone, the OnePlus North. This is not a simple new iteration of a model, but the first smartphone officially positioned on the brand's mid-range.

If it is not aimed at the high end, the OnePlus North still has attractive features. The standard version of the phone comes with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage space. The OnePlus Nord will also be available with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. On the processor side, the OnePlus Nord has a Snapdragon 765G 5G chip on board. It will therefore be compatible with the new telecommunications standard.

Running under OxygenOS, the operating system of OnePlus, the smartphone displays on a 6.44-inch Amoled screen with a refresh rate of 90 Hz.

OnePlus' mid-range smartphone has four photo sensors on its dorsal face. A combination of cameras inherited directly from the OnePlus 8 with a Sony signature 48 Mp main camera. On the front side, the phone has a double photo sensor for selfies; the main camera is 32 Mp and the second, ultra wide angle, 8 Mp. Finally, the OnePlus Nord is also compatible with 30T fast charging and can therefore recover 70% of its 4,115 mAh battery in just 30 minutes.

The OnePlus Nord will be sold for 399 euros in Europe for the 8 GB version, from August 4. It will cost 499 euros for the 12 GB version. The smartphone will be available in two colors: gray and blue.

In parallel with the presentation of the North, One Plus unveiled its first true wireless headphones, the OnePlus Buds. With an advertised 30-hour battery life, active noise cancellation and compatible with fast charging to enjoy 10 hours of listening with a 10-minute charge, the OnePlus Buds look very promising.

The Chinese manufacturer has not yet communicated a release date for its first truly wireless headphones. However, we know their price: 89 euros. A particularly affordable price for such an accessory which should overshadow other products of the same type sold more expensive. It should also be noted that the OnePlus Buds will be available in several colors; blue, white and black.
