Heavy rain warnings have been issued throughout Seoul.

The Korea Meteorological Administration announced today that the heavy rain warning will come into effect all over Seoul at 5 pm on the 23rd.

Heavy rain warning is effective when 3 hour rainfall is expected to be 60 mm or 12 hour rainfall is more than 110 mm.

As of 3 pm today, heavy rains of 10 to 30 mm per hour are raining on the west coast, the south coast, and Jeju Island (southern and mountainous regions), where heavy rains are in effect.

Rain will continue in most parts of the country until night, and there will be strong and heavy rain of more than 50mm per hour in Jeju Island, the southern coast, and Jiri Mountain.

The Meteorological Administration said, "Even if you use an umbrella, it will rain at a level where your knees will get wet." He said, "You should be careful about accidents such as valleys and river overflows."

He added, "Be aware of traffic safety in the rainy area because the visibility is short and the road is slippery."

In Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, Yeongseo, Gangwon, and Chungcheong-do, it is expected that the rain will stop gradually from late afternoon tomorrow (24th).

There will be a strong rain of around 30mm per hour between the morning of tomorrow and the morning of the 25th, on the east coast of Gangdong Yeongdong and northern Gyeongbuk.

On the 25th, it will rain mostly in Gangwon-do and the southern regions and Jeju Island, but mostly in the evening, but Yeongdong in Gangwon will continue until night, and Chungcheong-do will occasionally have rain from day to evening.
