A man assaulted three passers-by with a 15 cm screw in the Saint-Lazare district of Paris on Tuesday, the Police Prefecture said on Twitter. Arrested by an off-duty policeman, the suspect is in custody. 

A man assaulted three passers-by with a 15 cm screw on Tuesday in the Saint-Lazare district in Paris, the capital's police headquarters said on Twitter. "The police remain on alert 24 hours a day," she said. 

A seriously injured victim

The suspect was indeed arrested by an off duty police officer, according to the same source. One of the victims, seriously injured, was taken to hospital. Its vital prognosis is not engaged.
