Claims have been made that some of the daycare centers in Jeju have problems with both quantity and quality.

The Jeju Equality and Childcare Workers' Union, consisting of daycare centers for children in Jeju, held a press conference in front of the Jeju Metropolitan Government on the 22nd.

The union said, "The government is currently conducting a sanitary inspection of foodservice facilities in kindergarten and daycare centers across the country earlier this month. Currently, a large-scale sanitary inspection is also being conducted in daycare centers in Jeju." "The story is coming out."

According to the union, unlike some of the meals that were provided in some daycare centers, large-scale feeding room cleaning is being done to prepare food-related documents all at once, to hide and hide food ingredients provided to real children, and to cover poor hygiene.

At the press conference, the union also unveiled a picture of a bad lunch provided by some daycare centers in Jeju.

All of these pictures were taken between November last year and February this year, and former and current nursery school teachers reported to the union.

If you look at the picture, it was all a little bit of soup, fish meat, and a little bit of kkakdugi.

In addition, rice was rolled up in a soup with few side dishes.

The union said, "In the case of a daycare center in Jeju, except for the day of'evaluation certification,' we only feed rice to soup or water for lunch without any side dish all year round." They said that childcare teachers and kindergartens were embarrassed because there were separate foods and soups.

Also, unlike the daycare menu for parents, the union revealed that there were also daycare centers that provided only morning snacks and lunch to children.

In particular, according to the union, the daycare center repeated the act of making a lot of porridge in the morning and serving it in the afternoon, ignoring the principle of disposal after 2 hours after cooking.

The union said, "Currently, we have received various reports on the state of daycare centers in Tokyo." Among them, from 2018 to recently, about 30 out of 488 daycare centers in Tokyo have received reports of'bad feeding'.

Eight of the 30 places where reports of poor meals were reported were obtained with daycare center names and photographs.

In order to monitor and improve the operation of daycare centers related to meals, the union plans to operate a daycare center reporting on insolvency and bad meals, and plans to receive reports directly from over 4,000 childcare teachers in Jeju.

The union said, “We have been asking the health authorities several meetings to discuss countermeasures related to poor and bad meals, but the health authorities have not responded. "We are going to make it public through and report it to the health authorities."
