Following Incheon, there have been reports of small insects coming out of tap water in Seoul, Gyeonggi and Busan. As a result of the investigation, the case where larvae seemed to have gone from the water purification plant to the house through the water pipe has not been confirmed except for Incheon. However, when the voice of anxiety grew, the government decided to investigate all 500 water purification plants in the country.

than 620 reports have been received from Incheon alone that appear to be larvae from the tap water, and 166 of them have been identified as actual larvae.

160 were from Gongchon Water Purification Plant and 6 were from Bupyeong Water Purification Plant.

Reports were followed in Seoul, Gyeonggi and Busan.

Reports of larvae came from the officetel in Jung-gu, Seoul, and the Waterworks Division collected and analyzed tap water samples.

Suspected reports of larvae were also reported in Jung-gu and Dobong-gu, Seoul, and more than 10 reports were reported in Busan and Gyeonggi.

[

Report of suspected larvae in Gyeonggi: It was apparently from a separate shower.] There have been reports of larvae across the country, but there have been no confirmed cases of larvae flowing from the water purification plant to the home capital.

In the rest of the area, there was a high likelihood that larvae could be introduced from the apartment reservoir, home water tank, and drain.

However, as anxiety spread across the country and reports continued, Prime Minister Chung Se-gyun instructed the Ministry of Environment to urgently inspect all 484 water purification plants nationwide.
