Of the 39 confirmed cases of foreign influx yesterday (16th), six confirmed from Iraq.

There are 40 confirmed people from Iraq in the past three days.

There are more than 800 Korean workers left locally.

Therefore, the government is planning to send a charter to Iraq in the 22nd to 25th to bring workers who want to return, and is discussing specific times and ways with Iraq.

[Jung Se-Kyun/Prime Minister: (confirmers) Many of them are workers who are working at the construction site in Iraq that our company has won. Protecting (their) safety and health is the state's

primary responsibility.] Currently, around 200 people are known to want to return, and after returning, they will live in a separate temporary living facility for two weeks.

Since most of them are workers belonging to construction companies, the government decided to arrange temporary living facilities in consultation with the government.

Unlike the workers who returned to Korea, the decision to enter temporary living facilities is mandatory because the number of patients from Iraq has surged and the secondary spread of the community has been confirmed.

[Eung-Kyung Jung/Director of Disease Control Division: There were several cases of secondary infections caused by overseas immigrants. One was a family. One of the people who supported life was confirmed as positive… .] The

health authorities urged other overseas immigrants to follow the rules of self-isolation to prevent the possibility of spreading within their families.
