In Yeongjong-do, Incheon, the government officials, who had been investigated after receiving reports that tap water larvae were found, estimated that the larvae were likely to have been introduced from outside.

According to the Incheon Metropolitan Waterworks Office, an apartment resident in Unseo-dong, Jung-gu, Incheon posted an article in the local mam cafe saying "I caught the larvae in the sink after washing".

After monitoring the red water of the café for more than a year ago after the'red tap water' incident, the company monitored the cafe's water-related articles and sent them to the site for investigation.

It has been found that larva-related complaints have not been reported in other homes in this apartment housed by 240 households.

As a result, the establishment inspected the water tank and piping in consideration of the possibility of larvae occurring in the water tank inside the apartment, but it was confirmed that there was no problem.

Also, because the residents who found the larvae were living on the first floor, it was not a problem with tap water, but it was highly likely that worms were introduced from outside.

"According to experts, Yeongjong has many forests, so winged worms often come in and lay eggs under a wet faucet during ventilation of the apartment," said an official at the Central Waterworks Office. I guess it's an inflow case.”

He added, "If the larvae came out of tap water, there should be similar complaints in other households, but not so far."

Yeongjongdo is receiving tap water from Gongchon Water Purification Plant, which was designated as the epicenter of the larvae found in Seo-gu, Incheon.

An official from the Yeongjong Tap Water Residents' Committee said, "Since the distance from Gongchon Water Purification Plant to Yeongjong Island is about 27 km and flows through natural water, there was a discussion among residents about whether to find tap water larvae in Yeongjong tomorrow." I need a book."

In Incheon, 101 complaints were received yesterday at 1 pm after a complaint was first filed that larvae had emerged from tap water on the 9th.

There are 86 cases in the report area, 14 in Gyeyang and Bupyeong, and 1 in Ganghwa-gun.
