Kallista Energy plans to establish 80 fast charging stations available for electric cars by 2024 throughout France. To power these stations, the renewable energy producer wants to install wind turbines, reports BFMTV. To carry out this major project, the company, which has twenty wind farms in France, will partner with Enercon, a German manufacturer.

For these installations, the company has provided a minimum of eight charging stations per station. The charging power of these terminals will be 50 to 350 kW, "in order to recharge 300 kilometers in ten minutes", we can read in the press kit. To supply these stations with electricity, the production of two wind turbines will be sufficient.

On motorways and major axes

It is expected that these stations will eventually benefit from 48 charging points. For its establishment, the producer of renewable energy is targeting the motorway network and the main roads of the country, but it has not yet fixed any specific location.

Kallista Energy intends to join Ionity and Izivia in the closed club of high-power terminals installed on major routes by non-owner players, specifies BFMTV. On the tariff side, an average full of electricity could cost 15 euros, or around 30 cents per kWh. The terminals would be open to all owners of electric cars. There would also be no need to subscribe to the network to use it.
